Crews worked while school was in session and while the administration building remained occupied. But plenty of people at the company helped keep the 12-month project on schedule and safe, with no accidents or safety infractions. In a letter, Mercer President R. Kirby Godsey said L.E. Schwartz deserves credit for "reclaiming one of the most historic buildings in Georgia and undertaking the restoration in a fashion that reflected a consistent devotion to quality."
