Savannah Morning News: Shiny New Cap for City Hall

After being gone for six months, the cupola atop Savannah City Hall was returned Thursday. It took all day for work crews to attach the 16-foot-high adornment to the top of the building's dome. Technically it is a replica of the original cupola, which was too weather- damaged to be retained. The cupola project is part of a $2.1 million building renovation that should be completed by the beginning of June.
